Liebster award!

Liebster-Blog-Award
Hello!

So I have been nominated for a liebster award by the blogger Purpleowl (Her blog is HERE) I haven't heard of this award yet but after some research here is what I have found:

"The Liebster Award is for bloggers with under 300 followers and the rules of the award is that the nominee must link back to whoever awarded them, write 11 random facts about themselves, answer the 11 questions from the award giver, and then nominate another 11 bloggers and make up 11 questions for them to answer. It's a great way for new and undiscovered bloggers to meet new people, get more followers and find some blogs that they want to follow."

So here are 11 facts about myself!

1: I was born and bred in a town called Rugby (I know a town and a game wowee) and moved to Northamptonshire when I was 13.
2: At the start of year 10 I cut off all my long hair and had short spiky locks. I still regret that decision to this day.
3. I have OCD, anxiety and went through a mild eating disorder.
4: I have travelled to Malta, Spain, Denmark and most recently, Rome in gorgeous Italy.
5: If you haven't already noticed, I love to paint my nails and create nail art and it was only recently I have started to take photos and publicise it.
6: Music is a big thing in my life, I don't know what I would do without it. I have tried all different genres a go and I change my opinion fluently, but at the moment I'm loving Reggae and Drum and bass.
7: I have created a bucket list and am ticking off the things I have done before I die and hope to complete my list before I pop off.
8: I in-line skate and aggressive skate which is both roller skating. I go to skate parks and learn new tricks and skate off half pipes. I also skate long distance as it is really good for your legs!
9: I have seen Katy Perry live, Jessie J, Lawson and been to Ride and Rave at Thorpe park. (Which was crap as the music wasn't loud enough for my liking) All of these I went to see with my best friend and we are going to see Lawson again in March.
10: I love to keep fit and am starting at the gym soon, but I do daily squats and crunches to keep my bum and tummy in shape! I am also getting more conscious of my figure and loosing weight.
11: I am single and bloody loving it!

Here are the questions that were asked to me by Purpleowl

Random nail art!

PicMonkey Collage

Hello!

I change my nail polish art fairly regularly but often don't post about it! Either because I cannot be bothered, or I don't know what to say about it or I just don't like it! Here are two I have done recently but not posted yet!

DSC03409

Firstly I deeply apologise about the polish at the side of my nails! I think its such a hassle and almost always take pictures straight after painting them so I don't take of the polish till later! Bad blogger! *slaps hand*. Anyway these were very simple to do, just orange nails, you can see what to do in black on all fingers, and then Garfield's face on the thumb. I didn't get on with these nails as I don't think the colour suits my skin tone but give them a go they are cute!

DSC03447

These are the Minions from the film Despicable Me, and I think these are adorable! I smudged the eye on my pinkie but cleared up the out side of my nail woo! These were easy to do with black nail polish on a yellow base with blue tips! Just so cute!

These are Winnie the Pooh nails! Very simple to do with blue backgrounds and original Winnie the pooh pictures such as the bee and the flower! The thumb was my friends inspiration of birds in a cloud. I took this on my phone so sorry about the quality I must have forgot to take a proper picture on my camera!

2. On your fingers paint a line of green on the base of the nail to create the grass. On the white finger add some black cow splodges. We will do the thumb in a bit.
DSC03422
3. Paint a thin yellow line just above the green on the three blue fingers.
DSC03427
4. On the blue fingers add some white splodges to represent clouds. Once dry, coat with clear polish and your fingers are finished!
DSC03420
5. On your blue thumb, create a black box.
DSC03425
6. Around the black box, draw a thin yellow line surrounding the box.
DSC03428
7. Paint some small white splodges surrounding the dot to become clouds.
DSC03429
8. Add a B, &, and a J for the Ben & Jerry’s logo. Once dry coat with clear polish and the thumb is done!
DSC03437
I love these simple nails, as do i love Ben & Jerry’s ice cream! I was debating putting some mini brownies or mini cookies on my nails, so if you want something a bit more fancy and original try that!

I took some photos in the snow on my camera i use to photograph my nails so it isn't the best quality but the view out of my window is stunning, especially in the snow so i thought i would share them with you!

Film strip nail art TUTORIAL!

DSC03393
Hello!

I can hear old women fainting and little screaming at the fact I am uploading a day early and I have done a tutorial! Okay maybe not but I'm super exited anyway. I got inspiration from a Youtuber called Packapunchpolish and of course mine aren't even as close to amazing as hers but I've given it a good go and am very happy with the outcome! Without further a do here's the tutorial!

1) DSC03364
Here's my nails to start off with. My base coat is by BarryM. Wait for this to dry.

2) DSC03366
Then coat your nails in a white polish. I used Number 7 but I need to get a new bottle as its very streaky.

3) DSC03370
Using a black polish and a small brush, do a line at the top and bottom of your nail like shown, and lines randomly in-between at these will be the strips. As you can see I don't do lines very well!

4) DSC03373
Fill in these black lines a the top and bottom with small rectangle white shapes.

5) DSC03377
I didn't have time to take a picture after every colour, but starting with the yellow polish, blend to green, to light blue, to dark blue, to purple, to red and finally orange. This is done by painting the colour on hold your nail, the next colour on the other side of your nail and mixing the colours in between, or if that's too difficult, put a black line in-between like strips! (Cheat!)

6) DSC03371
While waiting for it to dry you can admire my cupcake pyjama bottoms from Primark!

7) DSC03398
After wiping the most of the polish of the sides of your nails, add some subtle glitter to the colour, and after that's dry coat with transparent coating because otherwise it will run off!

8) DSC03396
I added a Disney Mickey mouse ears to my thumb. I don't know why. Spur of the moment. Don't judge me Winking smile

DSC03393
And that's it! I think they look super cool however unprofessional I am ha-ha! If you have any ideas for me to do don't forget to comment below and I will reply! Thanks for reading!

P.S. This is why I don't photograph my right hand! Its like a disaster zone on there I don't know how I do it, just talent for mucking up that hand ha-ha!DSC03400

Things that only happen in movies!

Movie-Journal-Collage-2011photo from collider.com

Hello!

I have started my courses again and with an exam on Monday I have been revising like a maniac so sorry about my absences! When I take breaks from revising I find myself watching films, everyone loves a good movie to cuddle up to and get to sucked up in the plot that they dream about it the night after! I know I have. However I found things in most movie's, that only happen in films, yet never in real life! So I thought I would write about them and see if you spot them too!

To kick this off I'm going to start with answering the phone! Firstly they do not look at who is actually calling they just put it straight to there ear to work out who it is. I always have to look! If I get an unknown number I put my phone on silent and in my draw in case its that guy from scream telling me how many days I have left to live! shudder. Another thing I spotted was they never say hello when answering the phone! They just wait for the other person to start speaking before they start. If I didn't say hello when answering, both of us will be standing in silence to each other for a very long time ha-ha!

Horror movie's I can not stand! I spend the whole time behind the cushion and go to sleep with the light on for at least a week! Now in films when they hear a bang or footsteps they ask “Who's there?” or “Hello?”. I mean who does that?! If I heard someone in my house and I was alone, I would climb out of my window, regardless of what I was wearing and sprint until I get to a shop or something. (I'm paranoid I know).

Fight scenes crease me up, 5 guys against one? Your other opponents will wait patiently to attack you one by one by dancing around you in a threatening manner until you have defeated their predecessor. As for guns? One guy can shoot all the men with one bullet, yet all the men can not aim and shoot at one guy? Makes me laugh!

Locking the car or door when they leave. If we didn't lock our cars or doors when we left we would be robbed and stolen from! All it takes is a little tick tick and your all sorted, but nooo not in the movie's! There too cool for that, leaving the car door open like he assumes someone is going to spot it and shut it for him the lazy so and so.

Anyway ramble finished I felt I haven't blogged in a while and I enjoy doing it! I'm painting my nails on Sunday, saying that I may get too keen and paint on Saturday. (Cheeky!) So I will upload a tutorial on how I will do them this time! I always forget oops. I also realised I put loads of explication marks! But I sound so boring and un-enthusiastic when I put a full stop. Look how boring it looks. Boring. Boring. Boring. (Shut up Rosie)

My strawberry nails!

DSC03358

Hello!

So after wiping off my Pacman nails *shudders* I started fresh and went for a summer fruit! I have put the green top on the wrong way round for the photo but give me a chance I'm still learning!

After painting my Pacman nails so badly I felt that I was no good at nail art and I should give up! I do make mountains out of molehills but this made me miserable because I love painting my nails so much! I looked at the past nail art I have done and relaxed. A mistake made is a lesson learnt. Of course I will start to become more professional with clean sides of the nails (Oops) and better lighting and photographs, but I'm here to inspire you and to see what an amateur can achieve! I adore painting my nails and I'm not going to let little mistakes stop my fun so don't worry the nails will just keep on coming!

Yet again all the polishes were done in Rio Professional Nail Art Kit! Apart from the base on the thumb which is white from number 7.

Have you made any nail disasters? Let me know!

My Pacman nails!

DSC03346
Hello!

I'm not very happy with the outcome of these nails. I think the alien doesn't look very good and you cant really see what the circuit looks like because the colours are too similar! Also I cant apologise enough at the excess black nail polish at the sides of my fingers! I tried using a cotton bud but its very stubborn ha-ha! I will have to do the washing up soon I guess! Ahh well it was worth a try.

Polishes used were all from the Rio Professional Nail Art Kit! (Hmm its so lovely!)
I have just set up an Instagram account (*cough cough* rosiesnailart *cough cough*) and found out so many people that do nail art too! Of course I've seen people that enjoy nail art before but there are literally hundreds on Instagram! I got all over exited and commented and liked all night long and forgot about my blog! Darn!

I've just stated college again so I will be doing blogs in the evening and on the weekends!
Thanks for reading!

P.S Comment on what nail art I should try next! The more creative the better!

10 reasons winter is fab!

There are so many reasons why summer is just marvellous but think positive! These are my top ten reasons why winter is fab! In no particular order…

1. Shopping! Almost every shop has a humongous “SALE” sign on the window, which means using your Christmas bonuses to the full extent! Lots of cuddly knitted jumpers to keep you toasty when going outside. Its just a bonus that they're in fashion at the moment!
hot chosphoto  from americancupcakeabroad.com
2. Soup and hot chocolate! Of course both of these are consumed during all seasons but having a warm bowl of soup after going for a brisk cold walk seems much more appealing than after going to the beach! Hot chocolates with whipped cream, sprinkles and all the rest is my perfect winter drink keeping me toasty.

3. Snow! There are both pros and cons with snow. My inner child gets extremely exited when she looks outside to see heaps of the white stuff! Building snowmen, snowball fights, sledging and of course days off school! I can remember standing next to the radio on a snowy morning waiting for my school to be called off, yet our head master always made us go to school! Was it only our school or was yours strict on snow days too?
However there is the grumbling old lady inside me when I look out of the window to snow! Knowing your going to have to defrost your car and shovel snow and the awful sludge of after snow which always leaves your feet dripping wet!
first-snowPhoto from uppervalleyweather.wordpress.com
4. Bubble baths! How relaxing does a refreshing bubble bath sound after a shoulder hunching, teeth chattering day! Whack out the bubble bath, stick on the radio and chillax! (It even hurt to write that word believe me!)

5. Slippers! Who wears slippers in the summer right? Well saying that the cold floor in the mornings can make anyone clamber back into bed! My favourite slippers are Primark, there boots so they don’t slip off when I go downstairs (grr) and they have fluffy linings so my feet stay snugly warm until I have to stick them into muddy boots! Fun!

6. Lazy days! I don’t know if its just me but in the summer, or at least when the suns out, I feel as if I'm not making the most of the sun by sitting inside. But in the winter you can look at the people outside your window in all your warm smugness as they power walk through the 50mph winds. Watching cute films by the fire is also a winter must, which brings me swiftly onto my next point!

7. Fires! I'm on about two types of fires when I say fire! The first would be the one in your home, the one that in the picture perfect home your cat would curl up next to to stay warm, then all of your family would smile and laugh and watch the fire for hours on end. In reality, it would be me and my sister elbowing each other out of the way so we get more heat, while my mum is sat holding a guinea pig and my dad would be… doing dad things?
The other fire is the awesome camp fires where you toast marshmallows and make American style smores. (If you haven't heard of a smore before then I suggest Googling it!) Singing camp songs and putting more and more on the the heap of wood to see what would burst into flames the best! Just me? Oh okay…
cat_in_front_of_a_fireplacePhoto from islandeditions.wordpress.com
8. Big scarf's! For the days in which a jacket would be too warm, but without a jacket I would be too cold a scarf is my best bet! The big warm fluffy kind that you can hide your face in cringe worthy situations, pull right up to your ears because they turn red and numb! I cant remember what there called but the kind of scarf's that look like a really big doughnut? You wrap it round twice and your sorted! And you can never have too many scarf's!

9. Lights! Oh they are so beautiful! If only we had them all year round! Putting them up makes us all feel Christmassy inside like someone has just turned a Christmas light in our heads! I'm not going to ramble on about lights because there are so many I could go on for hours! But just think… Christmas lights… feel better? Your welcome Winking smile

10. CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR! No words needed!

Pink leopard print nail art!

DSC03336
Hello!

I found these on my Instagram wall and I had to give them a go! They look complicated but truth be told they are super easy and have a great after effect!

I have been a goon again and forgotten to photo the steps (I'm too eager!) but all you need is a pale base, a few small splodges of bright colour, and then copy the black outline on the picture! The black must not join up and putting random black dots fills the nails up more.

The nail polishes used are:
Base in: Always Sheer Camisole by Revlon
Dark pink splodges and black in: 0512 by Rio Professional Nail Art

First ever nail art attempt! Pixar nails

DSC03330
from left to right: Monsters Inc, Incredibles, Walle, Toy Story, Cars
Two different lighting was used in these pictures I couldn't decide which I preferred!DSC03322
Hello!

I have just brought the Rio Professional Nail Art Kit and have completely fell in love with it! I was up all last night trying out different effects and styles and I may do a review on the product later because I just love it to pieces!

These are pictures of my very first attempt at using the kit to have nail art fingers but as scruffy as they may look to a professional, I am very proud of them! I love all Pixar films but I have chosen out of them to do my favourites on my nails! The easiest to do was the Walle sign as all I had to do was a big red dot with an E in the middle! I don’t have a hardest however because I find the challenging ones more fun to do and a prouder outcome in the end!

I will start doing tutorials soon I promise! Just let me fiddle about a bit so I know what my strengths are Winking smile

The new year idea!

2012
Hello!
Above I have made a collage of the most memorable and happy times of my 2012! Why not give it a go! You can bring back the memories of a fantastic year! However I'm not here to ramble on about how happy I have been and what i have been up to! Your hear to find out of this idea I found on twitter from one of my followers!
The idea was that for this next year, from the start, (Today) right up to the last day in December, whenever something exiting has happened like an event or a meet up, even things that make you happy like having your first party will all go into a box. You don't need to put a piece of paper in every day, just on days or moments that you want to remember when you look back at your box in a years time! This box will hold precious memories, compliments, dates, outings, holidays, objects that will make you realise what a great time in the year you really did have! This would be great if you think the year didn't go as well as you thought, but looking back will be sure to put a smile on your face Smile
Just an idea for you all, I sure am trying it out! Thank you so much for reading! How has your last year been like I want to know! Leave me a comment and I will reply to all!

P.S HERE is the link to my most recent video with my best friend! Attempting accents!
